[info]tamu [18 Dec 2011|09:46pm]
mia grace baylor, 21, english major, zta, junior, zta house.
adoptive sister of [info]cutoff, mia and bay were extremely spoiled children with whatever they wanted they got. it was easy considering their adoptive parents are doctors. the father an oncologist and mother gynecologist. the baylor family call home dallas, texas.

as a child, mia was always the curious one. she loved to help her mom in the kitchen when she was home to cook, mimic her father reading the sunday newspaper, and always had to be the big girl. her imagination was her best friend and her toys. she always gave her toys names and would change her voice so she could make up elaborate stories for them. her make-believe world was limitless.

school helped mia to blossom into a social butterfly. she coud make up elaborate tales at the drop of a hat, talk anyone's ear off, and have a sweet smile for anyone who looked in her direction. she was never discriminatory against anyone.

the only down side to being so talkative was every time she brought home a report card, the teacher would mark talks too much. mia did do well in school, she strived to achieve what she thought was excellence, but she couldn't keep her mouth shut while she was doing work. it bothered her to sit still for long amounts of time, and silence was one of the biggest killers. teachers said if they could get her to be quiet she would be an even better student.

mia took it in stride. talking her way through life, even once talking her way out of a ticket. though she can't be sure if that was her communication skills or her being near in tears when the officer pulled her over.

she didn't really know where she wanted to go when senior year rolled around, mia had looked through many scholarship offers and her parents' salary was well off enough to help pay her way through. mia knew that she was blessed, but she wasn't going to shuck the scholarship offers aside either. it took her months to decide to on texas a&m, and even once she decided it once, mia had changed her mind again. mia knew better than to be fickle with this decision and gave herself as much time as she needed. in the end, her decision had not changed and she would still head to texas a&m in the fall.

upon first arriving to texas a&m mia immediately sought out new friends. her brother was there with her too of course. they were making their parents proud, using resources to their fullest extent, and mia was determined to set her goals high and achieve them.

two important things that mia did in her second semester: confirmed her status as an english major and pledged zeta tau alpha. mia was using her talkative nature as her guide, and the girls around campus seemed to want to talk and get to know her. it was easy enough as that, signing up for zeta. the girls always seemed to want to have fun and help her out with life's problems. these were the girls she easily got along with and in the first few moments of meeting them, would be the ones that she looked up to in her years of schooling.

now coming to her senior year, mia is still an english major and proud member of zeta. she plans to graduate next december and hopefully either write her own children stories or a similar field. she plans to start interning this summer to get the experience needed and check out what jobs her major has to offer her. she has her head on straight and still takes college serious.
